In this guide, we'll take you on a tour of Chilliwack's top coffee havens and the scenic locations to pair with your brew. Whether you're a local or a visitor, these destinations are sure to delight.
Stop 1: Smoking Gun Coffee Roasters
9360 Mill St, Chilliwack, BC V2P 4N4
Fall is all about cozying up with a warm cup of coffee, and we love to grab something to go and head out to explore our beautiful city! We don’t turn our noses up to a pumpkin spice latte, but if that’s not your thing, we suggest a good old flat white or some classic dark roast on drip.
Stop 2: Chilliwack Mural Festival
Various Locations Downtown Chilliwack
The annual Chilliwack Mural Festival was this past summer, but all the beautiful murals are still up and Fall is the best time to stroll around exploring all the beautiful art. This vibrant event showcases the work of talented local and international artists who transform the city's walls into breathtaking works of art. Explore the streets and alleys to discover these stunning murals, adding an artistic touch to your Chilliwack adventure. Plus, there are so many photoshoot opportunities you don’t want to miss it!
Stop 3: District 1881
45907 Wellington Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P 2C6
We’re located in District 1881 and we have SO MANY amazing neighbours. Stop by Zilla’s Donuts for a treat. Shop the artisanal wares of The Local Space and The Spruce Collective. Or grab a beer at Bricklayer Brewing. District 1881 is packed with so many trendy shops, breweries and restaurants. Fuel up and maybe grab a second coffee from Smoking Gun because you’re about to hit the road!
Stop 5: Island 22 Regional Park
45695 Cartmell Rd, Chilliwack, BC V2P 3C9
Island 22 Regional Park is a wonderful spot to continue your day. This park, located along the Fraser River, features picturesque riverfront trails and scenic views. You might catch a glimpse of some migratory birds making their journey south! The rustling leaves and crisp air make it a fantastic place for a fall walk, especially when the leaves are changing colours. It’s a great spot for another photoshoot too!
Bonus Stop: on your way to Island 22, stop by Minter Gardens and check out all the incredible plants and flowers. There’s a great cafe inside called Cultivate Cafe as well!
Chilliwack in the fall is a sensory delight, with its vibrant colours, crisp air, and a strong sense of community. We think this day trip itinerary is the best way you'll experience the very best that this beautiful city has to offer this Fall.
