Want to make a Fireball Latte at Home? Here's the recipe!

Looking for a sweet, warming, cozy drink to put some pep in your step on these cold winter mornings?

Look no further! SG's got your back with our much-adored Fireball Latte! Of course, you can just come and get on from our coffee shop in Downtown Chilliwack. We make our Fireball Syrup in house and we can add it to just about any drink. It amps up the spiciness of a chai latte and can give your mocha or hot chocolate a sweet, cinnamon-y kick that reminds us a little bit of Abuelita's Mexican Hot Chocolate.

OR, you could just make some Fireball Syrup at home! We're happy to share our recipe. There are no secrets here at SG! Dive into our recipe below. You can scale it up for bigger batches, add extra spices to your liking - anything!

Recipe (Preparation time: 10 minutes)

  • 1 Cup Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract (the better quality vanilla the better the taste!)

Procedure

Place the water and brown sugar in a pot and bring it to a gentle boil, not rolling, and turn off the heat. Whisk a few times to ensure all sugar is melted. NOTE: Be VERY careful with hot sugar. It can cause a nasty burn if it splashes on your skin.

Once removed from the heat, add cinnamon sticks and steep for 30 minutes. Remove cinnamon sticks and add vanilla.

That's it! Once cool, store in a container in the fridge and it should keep for weeks, but it's best to use it up within 10 days.

It's a great sweetener for your coffee, but it's also delicious in cocktails/mocktails, ice cream, cake frosting - who knows what else! Have fun with it!

We look forward to releasing our Fireball syrup every winter. It's the perfect addition to a delicious espresso drink. There's nothing quite as cozy and satisfying than that hit of sweet cinnamon in a hot latte on a cold day.
